I have made a twitter page for one of my genre choices. The name for the twitter is Autism_talks and is dedicated to autism research and information. The twitter can help inform other people about the disability of autism. It can also help link people who have autism to jobs that they may not know existed because I look for websites that say they hire people with autism or assist people with autism when finding a job. The audience of my research paper is more for people who don't have autism and are learning about the disability from the side lines whereas my twitter account for it sort of includes people with autism as a doorway into some thing they may not be able to find on their own. The posts are shorter than a research paper and will be able to hold their attention longer than a 2000 word essay. A genre that I could create in its place is a powerpoint or a prezi to help inform all people and will also be able to retain the attention of people with autism so it can be directed to them also.
To sequence your genres, you have to find an order that will be coherent with your audience. You can use different ways to do this depending on whether your purpose is to compare, emphasize, tell a story or convince your audience. You can do this through rhetorical appeal, emphasizing con flirt, or high light difference and similarities.
