Fermi's Paradox

The podcast opens up with a scientist telling him that he's sad and actually got sad about it today too. The fact that he's a scientist test is important information. In 1950, Fermis visits a place where they developed the time bomb and discussed extraterrestrials and were joking around. Until Fermi's asks "where are they." this was in reference to aliens and how large the galaxy is. Over billions of years, development could've developed over the time. If there is other life then how come. o one has shown up? It saddens people to think that earth is alone. If there are people then theres no one out there that knows for than us.

I have no idea what questions I would ask my parents but they would be too complicated to ask them

I don't feel scared about whether theres life beyond earth. I think its more comforting if there isn't because earth is already so large that if there was life outside of here than the galaxy would be way too large for my mind to comprehend.
